LED explosion-proof lamps are widely used in many fields. In the actual operation process, LED explosion-proof lamps can display good performance, and can be safely powered on without the need for ballast and voltage stabilizer, with good safety.

Explosion-proof and waterproof are two different concepts. Waterproof led lamps belong to ordinary lighting lamps and cannot be compared with led explosion-proof lamps. Most explosion-proof lamps can meet the explosion-proof requirements as well as the waterproof requirements. If the appropriate explosion-proof lamps are not selected in the hazardous area, accidents may occur on the site, causing casualties.

Generally speaking, the waterproof requirement of the LED explosion-proof lamp we mentioned is IP65-IP68. Next, let's briefly understand the meaning of the number of protection grade.

01. First digit

The first number 6 of IP65 stands for dust prevention, preventing the invasion of foreign objects, and the enclosure completely prevents the entry of dust.

02. Second digit

5 refers to preventing splashing and spraying water intrusion from damaging lamps.

6 refers to waterproofing and intrusion. Simply put, it can be used outdoors for a long time and can withstand wind and rain for a long time.

7 refers to immersion in the water at the specified pressure. After the specified time, the water inflow of the shell does not reach the harmful level, and the lamp shell is immersed in the water for a short time. The normal water depth is within one meter to ensure that water will not damage the lamps.

8 refers to that the water inflow of the casing does not reach harmful level after continuous diving.
